BCI

BCI

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a non-profit, multi-stakeholder governance group working on improving cotton growing standards and practices in 21 countries worldwide. As of 2022, BCI accounts for approximately 20% of global cotton production. The goal of the Better Cotton Initiative is transforming the cotton industry, and their mission to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment.

CHASIN’ has been working on obtaining the BCI-certification with a lot of dedication. We are happy to announce that we’re currently in the final stages and we expect to receive the BCI-certification in the near future.

OCS

OCS

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) verifies the presence and amount of organic materials, such as organic cotton, in the end product, as well as the path that raw materials take from source to end product. Within the garment industry, OCS applies to all items that contain 95% to 100% organic materials.

CHASIN’ has been working on obtaining the OCS-certification with a lot of dedication. We are happy to announce that we’re currently in the final stages and we expect to receive the OCS-certification in the near future.

GOTS

GOTS

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world’s leading standard for textiles made from organic cotton. The standard covers the processing, production, packaging, trading and distribution of all types of textiles that consist of at least 70% certified organic natural fibres. Garments with a GOTS certification must comply with all environmental and social standards, from washing to dying and stitching.

GOTS focuses on providing consumers with a reliable guarantee. GOTS also safeguards the organic status of textiles, from the harvesting of raw materials to an environmentally and socially responsible cotton production.

CHASIN’ has started the application process for a GOTS certification, which can take up to 13 months. CHASIN’ will continue to work on the process internally, with the expectation for our GOTS certification application to be completed in 2023.
